About
Nice to Meet You
My name is Yael, and I am a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York.
I grew up in a home filled with inspiration – my father was an architect and artist, while my mother was a social worker. Through him I was immersed in the world of art, and through her I connected deeply to people and emotions. This unique combination shaped me into an artist who creates meaningful, personal gifts.
In New York, I worked in the design department of the MoMA and later joined the design team of the NHL (National Hockey League), becoming the first Israeli woman in that role. When I returned to Israel in 1999, I worked in television design and also lectured in graphic design at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
In 2013, I was invited to participate in a special exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, commissioned by a pharmaceutical company. The challenge was to translate a medicine into art. I chose to work with clear plexiglass, embedding the letter “Q” with Quick Nurofen capsules. That project became a turning point: I discovered the power of transparent materials, the magic of typography, and the endless possibilities of giving life to letters.
Since then, I have been creating personalized artworks called “Life Letters” – unique pieces designed for individuals, companies, and organizations. Each letter tells a story, built from carefully selected objects, miniatures, and materials that reflect the essence of the person or brand behind it.
I also design illuminated plexiglass sculptures for companies and organizations, based on their logos. Inside each letter, I curate symbolic objects and handmade miniatures that bring the company’s story and identity to life.
You are welcome to take a look at some of my early works, created before I invented Life Letters in 2012:

From 2013 until today, I continue to dream, invent, and create. Each artwork is a journey filled with love, passion, and a big smile – a one-of-a-kind gift that cannot be found anywhere else.
What are the letters made of?
Yael Man’s letters are crafted from high-quality plexiglass (acrylic), using several artistic techniques:
Letters with Letters – a double-sided collage print made from personal photos.
Engraved Letters – personalized engravings of illustrations or meaningful quotes.
Life Letters – a unique letter containing carefully selected or handcrafted miniatures and objects that tell the recipient’s life story.
Each letter comes with a sleek black wooden base that includes LED lighting compatible with electricity worldwide.
The base can be connected to any power socket as well as to any USB port, and it features a touch button to adjust the light intensity.
